[open] lookin' for the love getaway.

Who: Gilgamesh and everyone visiting Heaven's Feel!
When: 5/1—5/8
Where: Caissa, Heaven's Feel storefront
What: The grand opening of Heaven's Feel, Caissa's premier matchmaking service, has arrived! Stop by for food, drinks, and some friendly fun with your fellow Heroes! ...or maybe even pick up a date, who knows.
Rating: General audiences, except for Gil's threads because he was pretty much making out with everyone. Tread carefully.

Heaven's Feel

[Maybe you've heard, or maybe you haven't, but there's a new business in town. It's plastered everywhere, posted on the side of every building and shouted from the end of every street corner in Caissa. Heaven's Feel, Heaven's Feel, come fly with the angels at Heaven's Feel! Really, who writes something so cheesy? The owner must be a real piece of work, you think, yet there's something enticing about the sound of it...

If you do decide to stop by within the first week of May, you'll find a massive celebration awaiting you: the celebration of opening day! Eager workers wave down anyone who gets close, with offers of wine tasting, sweet treats, and even speed dating. The store's interior bustles with activity as visitors fill out cute little survey cards in hopes of a hook-up. The owner in question can be found mingling in the crowd, bartending, and drawing charcoal caricatures of couples for a nominal fee.

Overall, the atmosphere is one of excitement. Hop right in! There's plenty of room for lounging on the cushy furniture, and plenty of time to find your own hottie.

...or perfectly platonic friend. Look, we're not judging or anything.]

[ He shouldn't have come. But after all his arguing with Gilgamesh about why this was all such a huge time sink, a business opportunity not fit for heroes with a bigger job to do, in the end he was still lured by the prospects of free drinks and the stubborn insistence to tug on the ears of those he had thought better of. Maybe they haven't considered it yet, just what they've gotten themselves into...

Thus, Levi can be found patronizing Heaven's Feel in the following ways:

1. Partaking in free food and drink—mostly drink. He doesn't like all of the offerings and asks for a hard liquor, but can eventually be found nursing a glass of wine or two anyway.
2. Getting chatted up by strangers; this may have something to do with it, though unfortunately for those interested in flirting, he's extensively familiar with the one sentence shut down. This can be witnessed.
3. Engaging in conversation, which if he knows you is more than likely started off by some query on why you're indulging this, but can also be more in the realm of smalltalk.

Levi.

[ A quiet hello, before he answers the question aimed at him. "Why are you here, Setsuna?" It's a fair question, considering this place doesn't suit him at all. Honestly, it started off pretty silly; it started off with a ridiculous misinterpretation, but Gilgamesh is quick to correct Setsuna — cheating along the way to win his support, and he's stupid enough to fall for it. It wasn't a particularly complicated scenario.

Setsuna is here to support Gilgamesh regardless of this, as he isn't the kind to say something like, may Heaven's Feel recognize Hell, stupid King. Thus, he's here to wish good luck and continued success for the business. He also has a stronger reason to be here, mostly about his personal quest on discovering the meaning of human understanding — which is exactly what Gilgamesh decided to use on him to lure him here. ]

I came to see how the King is doing... And, you?

[ Levi and him have several similarities, such as being dedicated to an important cause. If Levi's here, he surely must have good reason as well. ]

[personal profile] powerdriven 2016-05-03 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
[ Some of those reasons are understandable. Now, the issue in the failure to communicate them in a moment is that the ones that are understandable hardly have a chance to get through. Though despite all of Levi's glowering about the place, it's probably still not as big of an issue as he makes it seem—at least not in the judgment of Setsuna himself.

For one, as he suspects, Levi also has a reason to be here. That leaves him prepared to give the benefit of the doubt, naturally, but when he refers to Gilgamesh (or so he assumes) as "the King" ... he whips his head around as if to find Gilgamesh in the crowd, and when he doesn't, returns his attention to Setsuna with gritted teeth.
]

Tch! Why's he got you calling him that? [ Is it true? He's not actually sure... but there's still certainly no reason for it that's good. You could say his impression of Gilgamesh as a whole has taken a sharp turn as of late. ]

I came to see which of you heroes would show and knock some sense into you. This may seem like a good time right now—but we've got to consider what's actually sustainable for our needs.

[personal profile] quaria 2016-05-04 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[ As someone with low grades on communication, Setsuna may or may not be able to. Either way, he isn't here to defend the establishment. After all, he doesn't know its real purpose. While he may have heard convincing ones from Gilgamesh, ultimately he wants to see it for himself before he can say something.

So maybe he'll learn it in time, but for now he doesn't have an opinion on something he's yet to comprehend. Which leads him into further questioning when Levi says his latter statements. Knock some sense? Consider what's sustainable? ]

What do you mean?

[ He's not questioning Levi himself, but he's curious of what lead to that. He wants to hear the reasons properly, so he will do so. He's looking on with an open-minded expression. Also... ]

... I personally chose to call him that.

[ It's reassurance that it was his own decision and not imposed on him. ]
hoasen: (hmm?)

[Alright Levi, you said you wanted to convince some Heroes to quit this job, so here is Vietnam, still leaching the free food that isn't actually free.

She witnesses him shutting down someone who was clearly interested in his company, and that poor person is rushing off, looking disappointed.]

Oh...?
powerdriven: <user name="awkward"> (Default)

[personal profile] powerdriven 2016-05-04 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[ True, that is the reason he decided to show, at least on paper. Although he hasn't heard it himself that the ones who Gilgamesh has roped into this operation are Adrasteius and Vietnam. He hadn't named names.

Not to mention he is... momentarily a bit busy—but she's come at the right time. Right as his reason for being occupied is shooed away. Once he notices Vietnam, his expression is somewhat less dull.
]

So you came to this, too, huh?
hoasen: (wonder)

[personal profile] hoasen 2016-05-05 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[Who would know how he would react if he was given names. Gilgamesh didn't really make it known who was working with him. She was only working at the back, with his finances, so it hasn't actually been terrible. In fact, she gets granted a lot of power.

She's surprised to see Levi here, though, thinking this would not be his scene. Judging by how that disappointment the person had, she's right to assume. Though that doesn't answer the question of why he's there.]

It seems so. Though unfortunately or fortunately, I am still unsure. Gilgamesh hired me to control his finances.

[And that was quite the shut down. Caren watched, rather amused as the woman that had been trying to get a hold of his heart or just into his pants walked away in tears.

And that was Caren's cue to drift up towards him. her hands are empty, but she's encouraging her carrier to go back underneath her coat.]

That woman had been psyching herself up for ten minutes. I think you broke her heart.

Well done.

[ He should probably feel a bit more sorry than he does, given that she's begun to cry. But really, he's not sure what compelled anyone to talk to a guy brooding over a glass of wine like he had come here to fill out his dating prospects. Little does he know someone has made him out to appear more interested than he really is.

Once he's been left alone, recognizing Caren isn't exactly comforting... but he at least allows the conversation on the basis that, as another hero, she shouldn't be wasting her time browsing. He'll assume she's being sarcastic and turn his face to his drink.
]

What's it to you?

[personal profile] showsnopiety 2016-05-05 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Caren has a guess or two. But then again, she knows women, and more importantly, she's been listening.]

Nothing at all.

[She made to lean against the nearest surface, her front facing the crowds and the various people milling about. Heroes seem to come up frequently, and meeting seems to be another. There may or may not be the right impression of this place, for some reason.Thanks Gilgamesh.]

But you may have to deal with more, and with them upping the ante. It seems you're subject of a betting pool.

[ What's better than just small talk? Small talk with wine, obviously. Saber, even a shorter person that Levi, is here with a glass herself. It hasn't been touched yet and idly sits in her palm as she watches other, but she does take notice in how he turned all his suitors down (damn the burn is strong in this one) and ends up on this side of the place to get another drink.

... Like why the hell are you here? People only hit on you if you do that card thing, right? Either way, it catches her attention.
]

It doesn't seem like you're enjoying yourself. [ She does want to berate him to be gentler with people, but... I mean... It's none of her business. ]
powerdriven: (from the fires of hell)

[personal profile] powerdriven 2016-05-05 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
[ It's not a completely unwarranted observation. That is, it wouldn't be if he'd actually been the one to fill out that calling card. As things are, he doesn't have any idea why he's being given so much attention. In fact, he's spent his visit here further skulking into the wallpaper the more time that's passed, and moreover, the more people who have approached him for all the wrong reasons.

He should really go... After he finishes this glass of wine and casts his fellow hero a vaguely defensive stare. He can't help it; this isn't a place any of them should be loitering around.
]

Are you?

[ She only loiters because she's invited, but likewise she finds this extraneous. However, she understands the need for leisure and a time to unwind. It would not hurt to stop by and make good relations, but she's unsure once she realizes the nature of this business.

Taking a sip, she looks off to the flirtatious crowd in front of them, not finding his gaze unsettling at all.
]

Not in particular, but I am rather fond of the refreshments and treats. [ That's her answer to it. She's okay as long as there's free stuff to eat and drink. ]

[truthfully, Kaito didn't have any intentions of paying for the services of this new establishment. but hey! free food? free sweets? some downtime and a whole afternoon to kill? he might as well go where the people are, just to check out what all of the commotion is about, right?]

[Kaito steadfastly avoids the alcohol (he's not a huge fan of perception-altering substances, honestly) but he is all over those cookies and other sweets. he might actually be surreptitiously stuffing a couple into his pockets. oops]

Oi, oi!

[and when he catches sight of Levi nursing his glass of wine, he gives his fellow hero a wave]

Y'know, I've gotta admit, I didn't expect to see you here, of all places.

[which isn't meant to be an insult, Levi just struck him as the SUPER SERIOUS type]
powerdriven: (scouting the crowd for a face)

[personal profile] powerdriven 2016-05-05 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
[ Yeah, that's fair enough. It's fair enough that it's one of the few answers he probably wouldn't criticize as a reason for being here. Then again, free things have kind of muddied his original reason for being here, were it ever justifiable. Free alcohol, namely, is a commodity.

Not so much of a commodity that he'd make it his sole reason for showing up, mind you. This is one annoying place, so Kaito's not wrong about its appeal to him. Good to see a face like his around, considering the choice conversations he's had so far. Coming around the table to meet him, his tone is all too indicatory of the great time he's having.
]

Yeah. Me neither. [ ... ] Wilder never find you a girlfriend?

[oh my god. his expression immediately sours]

I don't need his help finding a girlfriend, thanks.

[he has his pride to think about here, geez!]

And I'm not here looking. Who'd pass up the opportunity for free food?

[ One wouldn't know it by looking at him, but Jae-ha's intentions at Heaven's Feel weren't exactly to join in the matchmaking fun himself. Not seriously, anyway, though he'd make any effort to patronize and support a young business. He chooses to do so by partaking in more than the one free glass of wine, and it's at the beginning of glass #4 that he spots Levi.

His eyes widen for a brief moment. This is the last place he'd expect to find the man. Surely, he had to have good reason to be here.

Or perhaps the free booze was that strong of a pull?

Then again, he thought he could have read Levi before, and had been completely wrong. Curious, he walks over, sitting down across from him and giving him a friendly smile. ]

Good evening, Levi-kun. Are you enjoying yourself?

[ Really, enjoying himself and not enjoying himself looked pretty much exactly the same... ]
