Heaven's Feel



[Maybe you've heard, or maybe you haven't, but there's a new business in town. It's plastered everywhere, posted on the side of every building and shouted from the end of every street corner in Caissa. Heaven's Feel, Heaven's Feel, come fly with the angels at Heaven's Feel! Really, who writes something so cheesy? The owner must be a real piece of work, you think, yet there's something enticing about the sound of it...

If you do decide to stop by within the first week of May, you'll find a massive celebration awaiting you: the celebration of opening day! Eager workers wave down anyone who gets close, with offers of wine tasting, sweet treats, and even speed dating. The store's interior bustles with activity as visitors fill out cute little survey cards in hopes of a hook-up. The owner in question can be found mingling in the crowd, bartending, and drawing charcoal caricatures of couples for a nominal fee.

Overall, the atmosphere is one of excitement. Hop right in! There's plenty of room for lounging on the cushy furniture, and plenty of time to find your own hottie.

...or perfectly platonic friend. Look, we're not judging or anything.]

There are better ways to get to know me.

[Once more, Gilgamesh errs toward subtlety; it would be too predictable to pair this with eyes better suited for the bedroom, or to purr like some overly eager cat. However, there are breaks beginning to show in that mask of his. A tightening to his smirk, a careful lean closer, a minute lowering of lashes. It is certainly interest that Jiroutachi is being show as he has detected interest in turn.]

But for now, I would tell you I once owned a thousand of you. A thousand blades, from which I could rain hell upon my enemies. A thousand spears, fired like bullets. Guns and bows and axes and much more. So when I say I am like a blacksmith, I really mean...

[Perhaps he does tip his hand here. There's a glint in his eye, sharp and intense, that wasn't present before.]

...I am like a god among them.

Thousands of me.

[Some might actually be bothered by such a declaration. It really is a way to make one seem small and insignificant in the masses. However, he doesn't acknowledge that part at all. Rather, he slides his gaze back to those crimson eyes and locks onto them with his own golden ones. A slight tilt of his head makes one of the pieces in his hair jingle against another and he smiles just a little bit more.]

I am a sword that is too long for most to wield, longer than most oodachi with one special exception. For that reason I am a sword of the heavens and kept in a shrine to be protected now that my former master has perished in battle. But really I doubt humans are really meant to wield me.

[He slides his gaze back to the wine.]

I wonder if a god can since I'd be longer than any of those blades.

[Every part of him presents challenge. Every part of him entices. Gilgamesh stares unblinkingly at the sword and considers his options. They were in public, and he had a reputation to maintain, so he could only advance so far before it became inappropriate. Beyond that, there was just his office, and he's not sure if that was a suitable venue to intimately entertain one of this standing.

Decisions, decisions. Gilgamesh empties his wine glass and gestures quick for a refill. Wonders if he had been bothered by that claim of mastery, or if his arrogance overruled it. He licks his lips in consideration without ever realizing it, weighing his options.]

It is true that my body is not as it once was. However, I can "wield" most anything, assuming it deserves my attention.

[Here, Gilgamesh will be blunt.]

Do you?

[He savors the last of the wine in his glass as he lets Gilgamesh think about what he's said. The flavor is growing on him, he'll give it that. But what really is keeping him here is the golden man who has started speaking again.

His lashes lower, his very lightly glossed lips curl just a touch more.]

If we felt I didn't deserve your attention then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

[There. Those are his thoughts on this matter. He is a proud sword who is very aware of his standings. He is also a sword who has chosen to see this being as someone more than a passing interest. Jiroutachi obviously believes he is worth the attention and then some and that Gilgamesh should believe the same.

And, he is aware that this King has made his own interest known.]

True enough.

[Gilgamesh notes that, for someone who's merely the spirit of a sword, he's sharp enough to pass as any human. Perhaps even more so. Gilgamesh lets what remains of those false airs melt away, and regards Jiroutachi rather seriously now.]

At present, I cannot entertain you as I might like, in the privacy of a suitable space. I would not consider you some cheap thing to use and then discard; I would instead like time to court you properly, to know you inch by inch... with silk beneath our bodies.

[Silk notably lacking here or in the dormitories. It's certainly not a no, but more of a delayed yes so he can satisfy his guest to the fullest.]

But I have plenty of drink to spare, and you are welcome within my quarters. As a keeper of treasure, I am all but bound to adore you.

[sakeplz]

[He does like the sound of that. Silk has always been his preference for things touching his skin in this human form. The feel of it is delightful and beautiful. Perhaps he doesn't quite go on about beauty the way other certain swords might but he also doesn't shy away from things that enhance his loveliness.

Besides, he does so like the idea of being adored and given drink. Jiroutachi tilts his head again but is clearly not even considering this at all. There's no need to when his decision has been made already.]

So I get the gift of drink and company until we can take another step further?

[He laughs softly and lifts his empty glass.]

You had me at the wine.

[No he didn't but the line sounds lovely rolling off his tongue, doesn't it.] So where are your quarters so I might visit them sometime? Even if you cannot court me as you wish, I still would never turn down knowing you further until the time is right.

[They were, as far as Gilgamesh could tell, beings of like mind. Appreciative of the slower, more sensual things in life, with a healthy taste for drink and poking at others as it suited them. Of course, Gilgamesh had no equals but one in this world or any other, but he could count companions among his inner circle. And he's almost certain this one would promise him a good time.]

I am afraid so. I hope not to disappoint in either regard, at least.

[Gilgamesh reaches into his pocket for a pen and a slip of paper, scribbling something. He then hands it over to the sword, reading Q 210.]

My roommates are not particularly noisy folk, nor are they around much of the time, so you could slip in easily enough for an evening or two. I welcome your presence whenever it might find me, though I must admit to keeping rather busy myself. Those days of languid lounging, of hearty scheming...

[Gilgamesh shakes his head, smiles almost sadly at the memory.]

They are all but over for me now. I am an active and adventuring King of Heroes once again.

[sakeplz]

[Taking the paper, he reads the location. Queen 210. That's the other one if he remembers right. He hasn't had a reason to wander over there just yet and has been remaining over in King where he's roomed at. Still, he now has a reason to wander over to Queen now.

Reaching over, he plucks the pen from those fingers and scribbles down K 106 on the other side.]

[Gilbert is adorable. To say the very least. One of Jirou's favorite activities is to mess with him and that's putting it mildly. Handing the paper to him since he has the other number memorized, he gives him a little wink.]
