What: It's time to relax with some tea dates and clothes shopping! Because they really need to relax right now.
Rating: Nothing! It's mainly gonna be cute shenanigans.

ALLELUJAH

[If there's one thing Lapis will never turn down, it's getting to spend some time actually relaxing with her roommate. Especially since it seems like he needs a break with everything that's happened since he's arrived here.

So today is a day of relaxation! First starting with getting some food, since Lapis is literal blackhole most days - luckily most places within the city are giving Heroes discounts or free food in general.]

... What about that one? [It's said with a tug on Allelujah's arm as she points at a nearby cafe - something cute and quiet, with a few tables outside the front and some pots of bright flowers.]

TIERIA & SION

[With the agreement that they really needed some new clothes after their uniforms got trashed, it only made sense to go clothes shopping after they had rested for a bit. Though now Lapis was starting to realize just how bad Tieria's fashion sense is...

At least they eventually bumped into Sion, and Lapis was more than happy to have him tag along. Even if Tieria might not be as happy, but Lapis isn't gonna turn down some help with getting Tieria some... better clothes. Which is why they're now in one of the many clothing stores in Capablanca, examining the different kinds of clothes to get.]

... Maybe something besides sweaters would be best. [Silently judging your choices, Tieria. Plz help him, Sion.]

KAVI

[Being able to hang around with Kavi is always something Lapis enjoyed, so of course going along with him to buy some more clothes is something she's very okay with. Though this also meant that Lapis was determined to find something for him too, as a thanks for being her f... f... friend. And he does seem to like his hats a lot...

So no matter where Kavi is in the clothing store, Lapis will eventually wander back over to him and hold this hat against his head. Gotta make sure that whatever she picks looks good at him! Though maybe something more frilly would be better.]

[With how peaceful it is inside the café, Lapis finds it hard not to relax - taking a moment to glance out the window towards the ocean, before peeking down at the menu in her hands.

His words get a curious glance, but then again, she remember him mentioning he was travelling before he arrived here. She imagine he didn't have many opportunities to stop in places like this. So she's glad to help provide him with a chance to do so.]

... I'll have the red berry tea, and a piece of the raspberry and chocolate cake.

[It sounds like a sweets overload, but Lapis has always had a massive sweet teeth. And they don't have to wait long to be served, since a waitress soon comes by to take their order, smiling at them brightly as Lapis repeats what Allelujah and her wanted.

Then with a chirpy 'it won't be long!', she heads behind the counter - Lapis blinking over at her before glancing around again.]

This place seems pretty nice so far.

[ Though they're taking this time right on the heels of a battle, something that Allelujah is infinitely grateful for, his relaxation is still genuine. Tensions may run high with the thoughts of their future, but even if just for a little while, they can have this to remember alongside the smoky beaches of Graupera. Shifting, he nods to the waitress as she leaves, folding his hands almost delicately on the tabletop. ]

For as long as I've been here, I somehow ended up never coming to this side of the city. It's quite beautiful, actually.

[ Especially with the view of the sea so close. ]

[Even if the memories of that battle are still fresh in her mind, she still finds herself relaxing into the chair. Absently listening to the sounds of the ocean nearby, the smell of coffee and tea filling the air as their orders start being made up.

Lapis shifts to rest her elbows on the table, resting her chin in her hands as she peeks over at her roommate. Nodding in agreement as gold eyes flick over to glance out the window.]

... It really is. [Those gold eyes quickly flick back to Allelujah, her eyebrows raising slightly.] Though wait, does that mean you haven't had a chance to relax on the beach yet?

[praises]

— ah, it looks like I've been found out. No, I haven't. Most of my time here has been spent working on the Secretary's request.

[ Or rather, Hallelujah has, and Lapis was with him for a portion of that, so he wisely leaves that train of thought right where it is. She knew what areas (and activities) that entailed. Instead, his multicolored gaze follows where hers had been, watching the distant roll of the ocean. ]

I've heard about it, though.

[oneirism]

[Yeah, she had a feeling that's what his answer would be. Lapis hums quietly as she keeps her eyes focused on him, looking as thought she's thinking, before she leans back in her seat once more.]

... Then when we're done here, we'll go to the beach. [It's said in a calm and firm tone, as if it's already decided. Because it is, in Lapis' mind.]

[praises]

[ Before he can directly respond, the waitress comes back around with a little silver tray. Atop it are their two piping hot drinks and Lapis' dessert. Allelujah nods to her as she sets the two mugs down, giving them each a dish of sugar and cream to share. Next comes the cake, and Allelujah drops a few colle on the tray for her as she departs. ]

You should have told me that you liked sweets, I would have made more.

[ Reaching over, he gingerly takes the mug handle, turning it towards himself. ]

...in any case, I'd like to see the beach before heading back.

[Lapis reaches over to drop a few colle onto the tray too, before happily taking her mug into her hands. Sipping gently at the tea, gold eyes peeking over the rim at him, before she pulls the cup away so she can answer.]

... I should probably cut back on the sweets anyway. I tend to be like a black hole when I eat them.

[She says, as she reaches over to cute a piece of the cake and shove it into her mouth.]

Good. It's really pretty, I was there with a f... [And this is where Lapis reveals she sucks at saying the 'friend' word, looking almost embarrassed before she forces herself to keep talking.]

... F-friend not too long ago.

[praises]

[ Both of Allelujah's eyebrows raise curiously at her stutter. His coffee cup is poised in front of him, as if he'd gone to take a sip, but stopped himself. It lowers just a smidge as he instead focuses on her expression. ]

Is something the matter?

[oneirism]

[Uh oh, busted. His question causes Lapis to freeze, and she glances away in an almost shy manner, taking another sip of her tea. And keeping her cup close to her face to hide how she's starting to turn a bit red.]

... I'm just... Not used to calling people f-friends. It's all pretty new to me.

[praises]

[ Oh. Not having expected that, Allelujah studies her reaction for a moment, noting how genuinely it affects her. All he does is lift his cup in response, finally taking a short drink. ]

That's certainly a surprise. [ Really, she's been nothing but kind. ] But I suppose I understand, too.

[ After all, back home, there had been his family, and then the rest of the world. ]

How is it? Your tea.

[oneirism]

[She takes another sip of her drink too, still glancing away before blinking at him in surprise. She... wasn't expecting that answer.]

... It is? [She's still too used to people thinking her odd or unapproachable. Some habits from home take a while to break.

And it's a surprise to hear that from him too. Lapis would think someone as kind as him would have a lot of friends, but... Then again, from what she knows about him, maybe it's not too surprising.]

I imagine you've made a lot of friends here, though.

[Because who wouldn't want to be friends with Allelujah?

Her attention goes back to her drink, humming softly as she takes another sip.]

It's really good, and so it the cake. How're your drink?

[praises]

[ Now it's his turn to look like he's been caught off his guard. Which lies at the crux of the matter, really — for all of his kindness, he's often just as guarded in his displays of it. Calming after the initial start, he swirls the coffee in his mug idly. ]

I suppose I can say I have.

[ Allelujah has said it in any number of ways — allies, comrades. Friends... isn't so unthinkable. His expression warms, though it's a brief and somewhat subdued change. ]

It's some of the best coffee I've had in a while.

[ Not freeze-dried space stuff. Bless. ]
