[open] Probably not too bad.
Who: Gaius and various other people are doing supply runs! Yeah!
When: Ambiguously timed supply shit going on over, let's say, the past four days (so 4/10 to 4/14)!
Where: In the middle of nowhere!
What: There's supply transporting up the yin yang over here!
Rating: None, but it might end up raunchy for all I know! I don't know why I went with the exclamation points but it felt right!
A:
So, what do you think? [Muttered. In case the hero next to him didn't get what Gaius meant a head was inclined towards their employer, Constance, who was fluttering about like a Canadian goose: nasty, vicious, and loud.]
B:
[And that was when Gaius turned to the person next to him and asked:] So, you got any idea where we are?
[A dark wind was starting to howl, with the promise of weather that wasn't quite a storm, but it would still be unpleasant.]
C:
[There had been a dramatic fight between them and bandits which was very heroic and dramatic. It was so fucking badass. I mean, seriously. Everyone did all sorts of cool shit, even the bandits, and this would go on describing that wonder and glory but...look, it would just be intimidating if it did. Just believe in it being heroic.
...]
How much we getting paid, again?
D:
[As a dying on the inside looking Gaius tore into that custard he looked at whatever poor son of a bitch was his dessert partner.] How'd your day go?
[He's kind of dying on the inside right now.]

Though-...you seen the airship-
[He was about to say 'Noir' but then paused. No. This is awkward. Calling him Noir is awkward. He cursed out Noir the Country and implied that they could do various dirty things more than once when casting a spell. This will need to be fixed.]
...hm.
[...Maps? No...]

I see. But what you have seen is similar to this place?
[ The airship, yes, of course— he begins to nod, but he senses that Gaius isn't done speaking, so he waits.
...And waits.
..........Did he forget what he wanted to say? Has something appeared? He has a quick look around to ascertain that, no, no danger is towering behind him. ]
Hm?
[ Roda pops out from the grass to take a quick seat at his heels and has a message for him; some general announcement, but the message is for "Gauche". His registered handle. As soon as the message is complete and he dismisses her with a little brush of the fingers, she's off again. ]

[He will need to think about this. Anyway!]
Airship! Nothin' like that where I came from...at least, not the flying part. Casinos, bars, sure. Drugs, maybe. Too bad our boss wouldn't let us bail on this job and do something more fun, huh?
[He's warming to the subject although he's noticing that the weather's cold and is picking up his steps a little. (Also has the feeling that he's being watched, but given the location and all it could be anything from deer to bandits so he wasn't going to worry too much...yet.)]

There was something similar in Amberground, but it crashed. No one tried after that. [ Thunderland was supposedly one of the survivors from that crash, as were the gate guardian twins. (Triplets; there's a third. Inside the capital.) ] Mm, there are better things we could be doing. I don't really mind this, though. I've never seen so much life around the land. All these trees, all the lakes and rivers, the birds. It's noisy. [ In a good way.
Most of Amberground was long-dead flatlands and desert, and the mountains were arid. There were very few wooded areas left; buildings were made of stone and cement and clay. Lumber came few and far between.
Noir feels the eyes as well, beginning to increase their pace. ] It's getting colder, isn't it? As if the wind's blowing at our backs straight from the storm.
[ Which is to say, "doesn't it seem like something's behind us?" ]

[Coincidentally has a hand on the hilt of his sword, which doesn't say much, and he's pulling out a certain candy cane debating taking a lick (such a betrayal) but no, that part could wait.]

Roda, to me. [ The carrier obeys easily enough, giving him an excuse to turn. ] A cloak would've been a good idea, I'm sure. The weather is taking a turn for the worse.
[ And speaking of turning...!! Noir pivots on a heel, and...
A wild DEER has appeared!
................Nevermind, that is a very angry and large bear eating the haunch end of that cute deer. And it's been watching them. shIT. Noir's eyes widen, but he doesn't turn to flee, plodding along backwards as he slowly draws his gun. ]

How good are you with that thing?
[Because man, he's having war flashbacks, literally. He's also reaching for the candy cane, fuck him. He knows where this is going, fuck him.]

...Well, he is still brand new. He needs real bullets. Meanwhile the bear's mostly unphased save for a singed snout and a renewed vendetta. Noir goes through the motions of emptying and reloading the chamber, only this time with a physical bullet. Just one. He had to conserve.
His arm locks, but the bear rears up and its head moves too much as he lumbers at them, roaring. The suck of teeth is the only indication Noir gives that he's not able to shoot, even if he isn't backing down. ]
Hopefully as good as you are with... [ Is that.... is that candy. ] ...is that your weapon?
