He turned out surprising, huh? A classic love story where you initially dismissed him, but in your time together you realized his strength and ability and worth?

You sound like you've been through something similar yourself. [Or read too many romantic novels.] I had to protect him to the best of my ability, of course! Even though I'd expected he'd be beaten and give up right away. I've met men with origins like his before, after all. But even though they all started out the same way, he turned into someone completely different.

[This is getting her nostalgic. She knows, of course, that she is destined to outlive any master she has, whether it be in memory or in spiritual form. But--]

So, the moral of the story is, you never know when you'll find someone who believes in you more than anything. It could be anyone in the world, I say! To hell with hesitation and second-guessing! Life is too short!
