[ "The one with the arms" is still boggling Estinien, honestly. Polearms? Real arms? Most people here have arms... as far as he knows.

...though it's not something he should be thinking about, considering the situation. How did he let himself get talked into this?? 'Do it for the children' really shouldn't work against the Azure Dragoon—but alas, here's Estinien leaning against a wall, watching as small (so, so small, impossibly young) children run by. He's to tell them stories about heroes; something he has many of, despite not being a storyteller.

But first, there's something he needs to discuss with someone. One of those things being 'Why did you bring me along to this?' but that can wait. ]

They speak of a mana potion, which is familiar to me [ RPG mechanics. ] but I get the notion that they're exaggerating the effects of such a thing.

[ Potions don't make you heroic, he knows this. He's not entirely an expert on the mana here, but... it's probably similar.

If such a potion existed, wouldn't it be used instead of kidnapping people? ]

[ The children are impossibly loud, as far as she's concerned. Yelling and laughing, oohing and awing at everything, be it the heroes themselves or this strange mana potion. One knows of defense potions, strength potions, and multiple awful tasting healing potions. But mana potions?

No, those didn't exist where she was from. And if they did exist here... If they were readily available, why didn't they just use them on their own soldiers, or supply their beloved heroes with them? Besides, a mana potion would, should, only act as a replenishment for diminishing mana reserves. It could not replace years of training or knowledge gained by experience. ]

The most it could be is a strength inducing potion, but it's effects would likely be temporary.

[ One shifted, hand moving to rest on the crest of her hip. She turned her head just enough to look up at her far taller companion. She hardly came up to his bicep, which some children found pretty funny when they'd shown up. ]
