[This was another case of absurdity winning the day, wasn't it? But William decided not to question it, since that way lay madness. Once he reached he patient, William began to work on his restraints. No wonder the man had been in such distress. He was a literal fright.

It was taking time to remove the restraints though, as they were tight to the point that they had to be cutting off circulation. Or rather had, when the man was alive. Also the way the man was whimpering worried William. He had a suspicion the person he was rescuing was going to cry out from pain and panic, drawing the doctor's attention back this way.

'please keep him distracted. please, please.']
