"Please forgive me, I tend to be more overprotective than I probably should be. He just scared me."

But he smiled, because the attack had passed and Sion seemed all right. It would take some time for him to recover, but the worst was over, and for that he was thankful.

"I truly don't mean to intrude, and if my presence discomforts you I will take my leave. Sion-chan seems a very stubborn man, though, and I'd very much like to help."

He smiled down at the kitten, who had approached rather stealthily and was getting into position to pounce!
