[The sun was setting to the west like it was an overripe tomato that someone had thrown against the wall of the sky, and the wind was picking up from the south heading north. Later? Later it would be cold, with all the heat of the day drained away and the wind blowing. But at the moment it was merely just kind of cool.
Their employer(s), a pack of factory workers who had pooled their money together to hire a couple of heroes to ba- bodyguard them, would be out in ten minutes. But that meant they got to wait. And so-]
