[It's been a while since he's been to this building. Consciously or not, the ways he had decided to spend his time since the festival mostly had taken him to the outskirts of Caissa, the outer sprawl of its buildings and its piers and fields. If he was in the capital city at all, the experience of sleeping in a Petrosian barn not likely to be leaving him soon. In a way this is oddly fortunate timing, his return to the city coinciding with the point he should think about how he really intended to make his fortune. This is one last fair-weather break before he must devote himself to either end of the crossroads.
Just looking at the front of the ornamented building stirs some of those familiar thoughts again, but Potemkin shakes them off. He doesn't have to go inside. All he has to do is wait for a friend.]
