Who: Syrlya and Allen Walker (and maybe others!)
When: 08/10
Where: Gammon
What: Syrlya signs himself up to protect civilians probably all night long.
Rating: PG-13
[Allen]
[The streets are fairly quiet, and this was apparently once a standard when the revelry dies down. But he understands the people's hesitance so Syrlya goes around the marked establishments in uniform, offering his services as a guard.
It just so happens a frightened baker is asking for not one, but two heroes to escort him and his "prized goods" through the streets. Syrlya blinks momentarily, surprised, then offers Allen a smile and a wave.] Hello! It will be good for us to work together.

baker? are they protecting the "prized goods" from thugs or from Allen...
(Ah, that works, he was going to be volunteering or looking into some of the crimes anyway.) ]
Syrlya— [ He's brightened in recognition and raised a hand in greeting with a smile as he approaches, Inspector in tow over one shoulder. ] Aa, sure.
Let's. [ He gives a smile and a nod to the baker as well. (Mm, hello.) Although whereupon realizing he will indeed have the services of two Heroes, the man begins bowing so fervently and babbling his thanks in such a way that Allen looks rather sheepish and tries to wave off the excess gratitude. Ah, yes, it's fine, it's no trouble, please don't... ]
Allen. Allen no.
He takes the stammering thanks with a little more grace, but still holds his hand up to hopefully calm the baker.] We're here to help you--it's the least we can do. Tell me, where is it you need to go?
[Well... the baker needs to go all the way across gammon with this very special order. But the stabber has him terrified, and he knows his competitors have thieves out for his recipe! And they have to go down this dark alley, and it would just be so much better to have company that could keep him safe...
The "goods" are a pretty sizable (and heavy) cart, covered with a blanket. The scent of cardamon, fruit, and cinnamon is strong.] Well, the trip here was quiet... did you have any trouble, Allen?
Allen *yes*...
He smiles to Syr's question, tugging at the edges of his gloves to ensure they're on smartly. Like someone might make sure their tie and collar are straight. ]
Trouble—? [ Said with a bit of a thoughtful hum. Why would there be...?
Oh. Right, there were the wererabbits. And the... maze...
honestly Allen kind of bulldozed through all that. #nope ]
Not really. [ h e h ]
It's a little nostalgic, actually. Everything about this place. [ again, aside from the maze and all that... ]

Syrlya turns to follow, but gives Allen a welcoming smile as he does.] Does it really? I feel as though the longer I stay, the less familiar everything seems... what it is that it reminds you of?

Aa, a lot of the buildings here and the food— [ He dropping into place and following in escort of the baker as well, flanking on the other side. ]
It reminds me a little of London. Ah—England. [ The place he'd mentioned to Syrlya. ]
Is it really that different from where you're from?
[ The baker seems nervous, though despite Allen's seemingly cavalier attitude—don't worry sir, he's quite used to keeping an eye to danger at all times.
Just a slightly less effective eye than before. ]

Mm. Of everything, it is still the most similar to the human capital, but--without so much competition. So many games. They do have a carnival, though, but I have never actually attended. Asura are more clever, but this design isn't like them at all. And--
[A pause, and then he shrugs.] It's very different, but that just makes it a better opportunity to explore, right?
