Who: Levi and ...friends...
When: All throughout Narcissa (March 5 - March 31)
Where: Various (Schools downtown, around Caissa)
What: Catch-all for job threads for the month of March!
Rating: PG, probably just his potty mouth
meet and greet pt. i
[ You could say he wasn't exactly raring for the pleasure of meeting with the local children this day. Or any day.
But then, given the month prior, after the festival for the arriving heroes saw him roped into winning them prize after prize with bow and arrow purely for their indulgence, it did seem that picking up this job would at least promise him a payout. Hence if he was going to be compliant to indulging the whims of brats, well. This was the right place to bend.
Or so Levi deemed it when he came to visit a school in downtown Caissa. Though as he stood outside the gate to meet with the headmaster, the excited chorus of young voices and stamping shoes on cobblestone did pique his misgivings. Seemingly intrigued by their sounds, his carrier had spread its long wings for the chance of being the first to greet the children.
He didn't follow. He said something like: ]
Stupid, shitty bird...!
[ And on the contrary, he decided to duck behind a pillar supporting the heavy gate. So why is it that now, Levi still grouses alone, plucking at a loose seam on his jacket, you ask?
...The headmaster had mentioned that there was another hero. Someone else was going to show up to help him herd these kids. Just where are they? ]
meet and greet pt. ii
[ Much carousing later, a few children have begun to chat about a mana potion. Rumor has it that this potion will make the person who drinks it a hero, like the heroes who came to protect Blanc. Can it be real? They're too invested in the dream of it to reconsider.
Perhaps if they ask their parents, or really like to save up their weekly allowances... can they use magical weapons like yours? And have carriers of their own?
Levi struggles to keep listening to the chatter. He taps his boot on the ground. ]
Hey. Didn't you hear me? Your parents. What did they say about this potion?
[ If they haven't told their parents, then... the reason is obvious, right? ]
Those of us staying at the Hall... we didn't choose to be stowed away there.
[ —perhaps a fellow hero should chime in, help his case. ]
herb picking.
[ He's really become the budding opportunist here, taking on jobs he doesn't know anything about. Thankfully, there are ways to inform oneself. Namely, the Grand Library. There, Levi pores over some books on herbs and alchemy, hoping that he'll come across something with practical use.
What he finds suggests the task will be more troublesome than planned... and to himself, he speaks in a low voice so as not to attract attention. Perhaps it's to help him remember what he's writing down. ]
Observatory cliffs. Sparrow Town waters. The Oubliette. ... Argh.
other.
[ ooc; Write me a different prompt for something off the job board, if you prefer. I'll likely add to this once more jobs are added to the listings. ]
