He doesn't have any grandparents or cousins of his own to worry about, let alone a brother. While Naruto has concerned himself with the well-being of all the shinobi that have come out to join him, he's seen what it means for family to be on the field together. That kind of distraction, that kind of constant fear while he's trying to do his best- he really can't imagine it entirely.
