[If you're near the Caissa Center Plaza, you might come upon a pair of heroes who are getting a little bit too into the festivities. Ed and Susan are practicing with water magic by trying to pelt each other with bolts of water while the other tries pelting them right back.]

[Unfortunately, several bystanders may be caught in the crossfire of spells gone awry or simply bad shots or good dodging. Between that and the fountains going off at random--well, everyone's going to be getting a bit wetter before the day's out.]

[Susan, however, has been trying a very specific kind of 'mental warefare' against her companion. Despite their ongoing battle, she has been very careful to not let him see more than an arm or head... arms that she has rolled the sleeves up off of. She's fully clothed... but she seems to be trying not to let HIM know that.

And she's calling out to him from behind a corner.]

You know all I have to do is step out into the open to send your concentration right through the floor, right Ed?

[She says, before chucking another bolt in his direction.]

[He jerks to the side, the bolt whizzing past his head as he puts his hands together.]

Th-then do it! Even if you do, there's no way I'm going to lose to you! [His spell pulls together quickly, and he flings a tiny orb of water at her.] Eat this!

[Her head and arm darts back behind cover as it splashes near her.]

Oh really? Are you sure? Cause you got quite flustered just from me mentioning it, ya know. All I'd have to do is step out and that'd be it!

[She's just screwing with him, now.]

[fuhrinkaed]

[He harrumphs, gesturing to call up another small water orb to fire at his command.]

I've had days to come to terms with the thought! I can probably withstand a couple of seconds of direct exposure at this point! I'll just have to make it count!

[She sticks out her bare leg, though. Gotta make sure. Watch for weakness.

Thank god for skirts.]

But that's days to dwell on it too! It's your little obsession, afterall!

[fuhrinkaed]

[He launches the water shot--but only after a few moments of pause.]

Th-that's not the point! I'm not going to lose to a cheap trick like that!

Considering how long you were stunned, I think you definitely will!

[She withdraws her leg, and he can hear her moving further around the corner.]

[fuhrinkaed]

Tch--!

[He scowls, hopping once before dashing off after her.] Don't think I'm letting you get away that easy!

Because I'm not!

[There's a lot of nooks and crannies for her to be hiding behind, and she's taking advantage of it, popping out from behind another corner to lob a bolt at him.]

Oh, I know you'd never let me out of your sight.

[fuhrinkaed]

[He gets waterbolted in the face, head jerking back as he literally ran into it facefirst.]

Blagh--h-hey! I can look wherever I want, it's just right now you're my opponent!

[A bystander, helpfully, squirts Ed with a water gun right about now.]

Okay, so I have a couple of opponents! That's fine, I'll take on anyone!

Haha, that's what you get E-BWAH!

[He can hear her yelp as she. Stepped right over one of those geysers and it got her.

He can hear the gurgling.]

[fuhrinkaed]

[He laughs, before speeding around the corner to fire a bolt at her. She's got like. A couple of seconds before he finds out. Think fast!]

[Uh oh.

If he figures out she's in normal clothes she'll lose her big advantage. She needs to think of a way to get him to look away, she thinks. ...Option one, freeze his face. That'd work, but he'd totally call it cheating.

And he'd be right. And while she's totally okay with that, he'd probably whine that it was an ignoble victory or something. So...]

ED THE GEYSTER KNOCKED MY TOP OFF LOOK AWAY RIGHT NOW.

[Plan B: Lie.]

Oh geez!!

[He jerks back, looking away and using the corner as cover.]

R-right! Sorry! Let me know when it's back on!

[She quickly returns to cover.]

There, it's safe.

[He looks around the corner.]

Oh, not fair! You went back into cover!

You abused the sanctity of a timeout!

Let this bolt of water reach the blasphemer and smite her mightily! Water bolt! [He flings this one, which will take a sharp turn at the corner and. Possibly be useful.]

[Judging by the yelp, he nailed her.]

Jerk, you learned how to curve it?!

It's not that much more complex than making it sit and wait for me to fire it!

Oh, you think you're clever? Jerk, I - uwah!

[There's a crashing sound.

It sounds like she fell. COULD THIS BE.. A CHANCE?]

[TIME FOR AN ALL OUT ATTACK.]

[He rushes around the corner, already calling up another small water bolt.]

[Ed doesn't find Susan.

He does, however, find a water bolt, hovering right at his face level as he rounds the corner.]

[He tries to jerk back to avoid it, and winds up faceplanting into it dead on. Oops.]

Wa--blegch! Phhpbt!

Susan! What the heck?!

What? It's applied magic!

[She's calling from her new cover.]
