He was just caught in the middle of his act for the children earlier for that to not be a thing, and she had played along so splendidly with that he is rather eager to meet the person who did that.
So if/when Lux comes up the fire escape as well or finds her own way up she'll find him sitting on the rooftop with his legs kicked over the edge, looking back to her somewhat expectantly with a bright sort of smile and his golden golem companion flying in soft loops above his head.
