What: There's a hot springs, so now there's a hot springs episode.
Rating: Could be a p-13 and beyond because some people are only wearing towels in this place.





[Win or fail, everyone needed a reason and a way to relax. With the fall of the towers, there was all sorts of good things to come from it. Some would say it was the birds; and others would say it was the hot springs.

The large, large pools of heated water. Sure, they could be used as a way to get all steamed up (or even steam punk) but after all that hard work, everyone deserves a break!

Bring your swimsuits, your towels, your drinks and snacks-who knows, you should be able to find them in the bazaars, or even on Airy. It's time to soak in the heat!]

[ Bolin jerks his head when he hears the voice, eyebrows shooting up when he's faced with a pretty girl.

That may or may not be naked. ]

I'll be careful.

[ As much as hanging out with a naked woman is enough to make his entire face turn beet red, it's not like he's absolutely certain, and it's easy enough to pretend that she's clothed under the water. Bolin's not about to run away either—he's not a little boy, but an adult time, and it's time to show some maturity.

He carefully dips his legs into the water, letting his body acclimate to the high temperature. ]

I'm extra resistant to heat.

[she replies to his comment with blunt and nonchalant humor. she isn't being serious, of course]

. . . the heat's good for sore muscles and bruises. I got knocked around that dungeon a little bit. So it feels pretty nice.

You aren’t the only one. [ Bolin says, in what he hopes comes off as a show of solidarity.

Taking a breath, he eases himself into the water then, pursing his lips a little at the sudden burst of heat but enduring it so that it does transform into something pleasurable. He relaxes, leaning back against the warm stones and trying not to sleep. ]

It’s much nicer when you’re ranked up though—being a Pawn was rough.

[ It’s still rough, since he’s pretty clumsy with his magic but at least he can claim to have some tricks up his sleeve. ]

I’m Bolin, by the way.

Ugh.

[the noise of disgust she makes when he mentions Pawns is a low, irritated groan in the back of her throat. her shoulders slump, and she momentarily slips further into the water so it covers her chin and mouth. cue annoyed bubble blowing!!]

[when she sits up straight again, she replies]

"Rough" feels like an understatement. I'm functionally useless in almost all aspects a hero should excel at. [almost all aspects. she did get to do something science-y in that dungeon, after all, when she created the acid that melted the barrier]

I'm Ema. Ema Skye. Detective, forensic scientist, and most certainly not a very good hero.

[ It's pretty cute when Ema sulks in the water, and Bolin gives the girl a friendly smile. It's always to find a companion in misery, though Bolin's feeling pretty good now that he's relaxing in a fancy hot spring. ]

Detective? [ He raises his eyebrows. ] My brother's a detective too! Are you good at solving mysteries? I bet everyone needed your help figuring out what was wrecking all those farmlands.

[ Because Bolin certainly hadn't been able to figure it out, first wondering if it might be Noir, or some covert bandits seeking to wreck havoc across the country. He never would've thought dragons. ]
