It isn't childish.

[...or he could, in a fit of explicit childishness, cling to his claimed treasure and simply take her into the water with him, just like that. Holding her close and refusing to let go, even if she did deserve it. Even if he couldn't tear her apart, as she also deserved, with his arms occupied.

He holds her and it is very childish and it is probably more symbolic of their relationship than anything, that her Servant would refuse to accept her as a Master yet still express fondness. And it is fondness, in a form, that he deems her worthy of being touched by him at all.]
