[Closed] /IMPERIAL MARCH INTENSIFIES
Who: The First Skywalker (
facultative), Captain Badass (
flawless_precision) and General Squishy (
endoftherepublic)
When: April 15
Where: Menchik => Capablanca
What: The Fault in Our Star Wars fights some bandits.
Rating: PGish? Idk. Probably bandits getting ouchies? Hux thinking of murder? general things like that.
[It would be true to say that General Hux was still debating the merits of this venture. Certainly, it would do to assess Skywalker's skills as a Jedi, as well as his general personality. He had certainly heard enough about Lord Vader, having grown up on stories of heroic Imperials, but this was a different matter. This was a younger version; still fighting the organization that would then grow into the Empire. It made Hux wonder what exactly had caused the change in his loyalties. Perhaps time and contact with this younger Skywalker would provide such insight. It was fascinating purely from a psychological standpoint alone, and might also offer some clues as to FN-2187's defection.
Either way, the matter of what to do about Skywalker had simply come down to this: waiting. Bide their time and observe. It wouldn't do to make an enemy of him yet. Despite a lack of the Force here (though their access to mana could be argued for as similar, but they all had access to that, not just the Jedi and the Sith,) it wouldn't do to underestimate him.
Thus, as they begin their journey at the caravan's side, Hux is turning his attention away from the Gear City and towards his companions. Phasma he has no curiosity over. Though he would never speak of it or give indication, it is a distinct relief to have her here. He's managed on his own well enough, true, but to have an ally who has similar goals and work ethic within this sea of generally soft-hearted and disorderly Heroes is a boon. He knows she can be trusted.
Well. Insomuch as Hux "trusts" anyone. Perhaps it would be better to say that she can be relied upon in a way that is impossible for anyone else.
Skywalker, however, is a different story. Hux keeps the Jedi in his peripheral as the transport begins its trek towards Capablanca. The inventor who is accompanying them is, so far, an irritant. She talks endlessly, needlessly, and they have just begun their journey. Hux hates her already and mildly entertains thoughts of accidentally tripping her off a rather treacherous road, if they happen to stumble upon one. It's a pleasant thought.
Unfortunately this pleasantness only lasts a moment as said inventor comes over and starts talking at Hux, loudly, insisting her inventions are better than anyone else's, and also critiquing the current transportation of the metal. Hux's mouth presses slightly into a line, suffering her voice for only a mere minute at most before he turns and walks away from her mid-sentence.
He's not hiding behind Phasma, what are you talking about. He's just making a strategic retreat before he puts a bullet through her head.]
