[Look, serving trays are extremely handy implements for imprisoning... food.... We got nothin' here, except that they also make pretty zippy frisbees and excellent distractions; and seeing as Cerberus' tails are a pretty big -- albeit moving -- target, getting soundly clonked is inevitable.

It works as a distraction, at any rate, but now Zelos has the snakes' attention. There's a brief hesitation where it looks like one head is going to go for Cerberus' dilemma and the other is going to head for the source of flying annoyances, but ultimately thanks to the new light show -- Zelos gets the pincer attack Kaede was lucky enough to dodge, apparently having been deemed enough of a threat. One head comes at him directly from the front, mouth open and hissing, while the other dives from above, aiming to smash more than catch.

Back at the main dog head (why would you pick an animal when three heads are better than one?), big teeth are pretty meaningless when you can't bite sideways. And probably don't want to gnaw on your own horn. So what Cerberus resorts to as a last measure? Just shaking his head. Shaking it a lot. There's water and fur flying every which way and Kaede is probably getting an even sounder thrashing than before, but somewhere in the mess:]

... dog.
