A ♟ SETTING THINGS UP
[It's the last day before the First Bloom starts, so of course everyone is rushing around trying to help get all the last minute things done. Lapis is among the people helping to set things up, having been part of the workforce since the first day the ad for help had been put up. It's not exactly been easy for her, since she has no upper-body strength, but money is good and it's an chance to try to use her weapon for something useful.
Which is why she's managed to use her ability to summon a mini tornado to... help carry large boxes, yep. She can control it a bit better now and she'll add more boxes to the windy helper if anyone asks. But it isn't all completely under control, since the tornado has a habit of deciding to just dump a box or two on her head.
Luckily the boxes are fine, her head cushioned their fall - even though she's crouched down as she holds her head and grumbles to herself. That really hurt!]
B ♟ THE FESTIVAL
(ONE)
[Even if she's still a bit tired from helping out, there's no way she would miss a chance to actually see the festival in action. Instead of her uniform, she's wearing something a bit more casual so that it feels less like she's working. Though while she was taking a look at some of the food - inwardly beaming with pride when she notices some of the things she's made - she then freezes when a red envelope is handed to her, blinking at it as she takes it. Only to realize that... kids were meant to be given this, since she's seen only kids being given these so far, and she quickly turns her attention to the old lady.]
... Hey, wait a - [Ah the old lady is gone. Lapis is left awkwardly standing there with the envelope in her hand, almost pouting as she sighs quietly.] ... I'm not a kid, I'm twenty-two...
[Not even here can she escape the curse of the baby face.]
(TWO)
[Now that's eaten her share of food, she turns her attention to the other things going on. Such as the fortunes. While she doesn't really trust them all that much, she doesn't see any harm in taking a look, since it's all for fun, right? So she decides to give it a try, only to just. Stare in response to the fortune she's been given.]
... "Avoid polka-dotted beavers?" What's that meant to mean? Let me try another one...
[Quietly hoping it'll make sense, except -] "Promise of raining ham"? I get that fortunes are usually a load of rubbish, but really...
[SIGHS well that was a waste of money. Maybe she should try just going discount shopping instead.]
