He heard glass shatter, but he could not check to see how the group below were faring. One of the remaining monsters quickly approached with his sword at the ready. Apparently, saving his peers was not enough to earn his sympathy. Rory kicked at his leg and sent him tumbling back. When he grabbed his tail to throw him over the gap, it instead came off and writhed in his grasp.
He shouted in disgust and threw it in the face of another lizardman. Blood splashed in his eyes and he flailed blindly, crashing into his tailless partner and sending them both falling over the gap. Well that, actually worked out quite fortunately. Now it was just them and the lizard stuck to the pew.

So far, he had been conserving mana, but that was impossible for treating a wound like this. He did not hold back. As he concentrated on stopping the bleeding, he tried to get the sword out.
